BluWave Cleaning Services (“BluWave”, “we”, “us”), operated by Vela Blu Ltd in Malta, respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you contact us — including through our WhatsApp recruiting service — and how we use it.

Who we are

BluWave provides cleaning and short-let turnover services in Malta. For recruiting, we run a WhatsApp-based application process for candidates who contact us via our job adverts.

Information we collect

• Contact details — your WhatsApp number and the name shown on your WhatsApp profile.
• Application answers — the responses you give to our screening questions: your location, availability, work experience, languages spoken, transport, the area you live in, and your work status in Malta.
• Messages — the content of the messages you exchange with our recruiting assistant.

How we use it

• To assess your suitability for cleaning roles at BluWave.
• To contact you about your application and, if there is a good fit, about work opportunities.
• To improve our recruiting process.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of your consent (by contacting us and completing the application) and our legitimate interest in recruiting staff. You can withdraw consent at any time by asking us to delete your data.

Sharing

Your application summary may be shared internally with BluWave’s hiring team (including our operations lead). We use Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform to receive and send messages; messages are processed by Meta in line with their own terms. We host our systems on Cloudflare. We do not share your data with any other third parties except where required by law.

Retention

We keep application data only as long as needed for recruiting purposes, and delete it on request or when it is no longer relevant.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
